At our outdoor furniture factory, we understand that our choices have a lasting impact on the environment. We are committed to transparency and responsibility in every piece we craft. The primary materials we use are selected with sustainability as a core criterion.
For our frames and structural elements, we utilize aluminum, a highly durable and long-lasting metal. We source aluminum with significant recycled content and employ a powder-coating process for finishing. This method emits negligible volatile organic compounds (VOCs) compared to traditional liquid paints, significantly reducing air pollution. Aluminum is also fully recyclable at the end of its extremely long life, supporting a circular economy.
A key material in our collection is high-density polyethylene (HDPE) lumber, made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastics. We divert milk jugs, detergent bottles, and other containers from landfills and oceans, transforming them into robust, weather-resistant boards for our furniture. This process not only gives plastic waste a new purpose but also eliminates the need for chemical treatments, as the material is naturally impervious to moisture, insects, and rot.
For our premium teak pieces, we source exclusively from plantations certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This guarantees that the wood is harvested from responsibly managed forests that promote biodiversity, protect ecosystems, and support local communities. We never use timber from endangered or illegally logged rainforests.
Our environmental strategy extends beyond material selection. We optimize manufacturing patterns to minimize waste, recycle production scraps internally, and use water-based adhesives. By choosing durable, low-maintenance materials, we ensure our furniture lasts for decades, reducing the need for frequent replacement and the associated resource consumption. Our goal is to create beautiful, functional outdoor spaces while actively safeguarding the natural world those spaces inhabit.
