For frames and solid construction, we primarily use two champion materials. First is sustainably sourced Grade-A Teak. This dense hardwood is renowned for its natural oils that resist moisture, rot, and insect damage. It weathers gracefully to a distinguished silver-gray patina if left untreated, or can be maintained with oil to preserve its warm golden hue. Second is heavy-gauge, powder-coated aluminum. We use marine-grade aluminum alloys for a lightweight yet incredibly strong frame. The powder coating is not just paint; it's a electrostatically applied and thermally bonded finish that provides exceptional resistance to chipping, fading, and corrosion, far outperforming traditional liquid paint.
For seating and woven elements, we utilize solution-dyed, UV-stabilized all-weather wicker. This is not natural rattan, but a sophisticated synthetic fiber made from polyethylene or resin. It is meticulously woven by hand over our aluminum frames. The solution-dyeing process ensures color is embedded throughout the entire fiber, preventing fading, while UV inhibitors protect against sun damage. This material is impervious to rain, mildew, and cracking.
Complementing these are performance fabrics for cushions. We use only outdoor-specific textiles from top-tier manufacturers like Sunbrella. These fabrics are solution-dyed acrylics or polyesters, boasting exceptional fade resistance, water-repellency, and easy cleanability. They are breathable and designed to resist mildew.
