Material Adaptation

For wooden benches (cedar, teak, or pressure-treated pine), we maintain the 6–10 mm gap. For metal or recycled plastic slats, the spacing may widen slightly to 3/8 inch (10 mm) to accommodate thermal expansion. However, the 1/4 inch baseline remains our factory’s default for most standard models.

Customization Options

While 6–10 mm is our standard, we offer custom spacing for specific projects. For example, bench designs for coastal areas may use a wider 12 mm gap to combat humidity, while benches for child care facilities might reduce spacing to 5 mm for added safety.
