The frames are welded with 5356 filler wire, then powder-coated with a UV-resistant marine ceramic finish—creating a barrier that outlasts traditional paint.
For high-wear components like armrests and legs, we integrate 316 stainless steel (also known as “marine grade”). Its molybdenum content gives it superior resistance to chloride-induced rust compared to 304 stainless steel. We also use HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) for slats and seats—a non-porous, UV-stabilized polymer that never corrodes, absorbs no moisture, and stays cool under the sun. Unlike wood or iron, HDPE resists warping, splintering, and fungal growth even in 100% humidity.
Our hardware—screws, bolts, and brackets—are all 316 stainless steel or silicon bronze, which forms a protective patina rather than rusting. We avoid dissimilar metals that cause galvanic corrosion by isolating them with nylon washers or insulating sleeves. Every bench undergoes a 500-hour salt spray test (ASTM B117) to verify zero red rust formation.
Finally, we offer optional powder-coated galvanized steel for high-traffic areas, but our signature solution remains full marine-grade aluminum or HDPE—both require zero maintenance and carry a 15-year warranty against rust-through.
