When industrial buyers or procurement managers ask about custom color runs for trash cans, the most frequent question is, “What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?” The answer depends on several production factors.

For a standard custom color run—where we match a specific Pantone or RAL code and apply it to a molded bin—the smallest order quantity we accept is typically 500 units per color per model. This number comes from the need to mix a full batch of colored plastic resin, which has a minimum batch size to ensure color consistency and avoid material waste.

However, if the custom color requires a unique masterbatch formulation or a special surface finish (like UV coating or texture), the MOQ may rise to 1,000 units. Conversely, for simpler color changes on popular bin models that we already produce in bulk, we can sometimes accommodate a 300-unit minimum run—but only if the color has been used before and the production line is already set up.

We also consider the total order volume. If you order multiple colors but within the same shipment, we may split the run into smaller color batches (e.g., 200 per color for three colors) as long as the total reaches 600 units.

Please note: these MOQs apply specifically to injection-molded or rotational-molded plastic trash cans. For metal containers or custom sizes, minimums are higher due to tooling and paint line requirements.
