From our outdoor bench factory, the typical lead time for a custom-painted order ranges from 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the paint specifications and current production volume. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what influences this timeline.
First, upon receiving your custom order, our team reviews the color code (such as RAL or Pantone) and surface preparation requirements. For standard custom colors (e.g., classic black, dark green, or bronze), we maintain a pre-treated aluminum stock that cuts the painting prep time by roughly one week. For highly specific or multi-layered finishes—like textured coatings or anti-graffiti layers—an additional 7 to 10 days is needed.
Second, the painting process itself involves three stages: surface cleaning and priming, electrostatic powder coating application, and oven curing. This cycle typically takes 5 to 7 business days for a batch of 20 to 50 benches. Our factory uses automated conveyors and robotic sprayers to ensure consistent coverage, which reduces variation in drying times.
Third, lead time includes quality inspection (2–3 days) where we check for adhesion, color uniformity, and durability. After approval, packaging and loading for freight adds another 3 to 5 days. Most orders ship via LTL (less-than-truckload) carriers, and transit adds 5 to 10 business days domestically.
For urgent projects, we offer a rapid custom-paint service that shortens the timeline to 3 weeks, but this applies to pre-approved colors and minimum order quantities of 50 benches. If you’re customizing with a complex pattern or logo, please note that stencil fabrication adds 10 to 14 days.
To ensure accuracy, we always send a color chip sample before full production, which may extend the initial phase by one week but prevents costly rework. In summary, plan 4–6 weeks from order confirmation to dock, and contact our sales team for a real-time production slot.
