Here is a step-by-step guide from our factory experts to clean your powder-coated bench safely.

1. Start with plain water and a soft cloth

For routine dust and dirt, use a soft microfiber cloth or a sponge with lukewarm water. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, steel wool, or hard brushes. These can scratch the powder coating and expose the metal underneath. Gently wipe the surface in one direction rather than in circles to prevent fine swirl marks.

2. Use a mild detergent for stubborn grime

If water alone doesn't cut it, mix a few drops of mild dish soap (free of bleach, citrus, or abrasive agents) into a bucket of warm water. Dip your cloth into the solution, wring it out so it is damp—not dripping—and clean the bench. Rinse thoroughly with clean water afterward. Soap residue left to dry can dull the coating over time.

3. Tackle stuck-on stains with baking soda paste

For bird droppings, tree sap, or dried mud, make a gentle paste: 1 tablespoon of baking soda plus enough water to form a thick paste. Apply it to the stain with a soft cloth and let it sit for 2 minutes. Wipe away using a damp cloth. Baking soda is mildly abrasive but safe for powder coating when used sparingly. 4. Say no to harsh chemicals
