If left natural, it ages to a beautiful silver sheen; if you want to keep its honey-brown color, a teak-specific sealer every six months will do the job. Recycled plastic benches are the answer for customers who want zero maintenance and maximum sustainability. Our recycled plastic models are made from post-industrial and post-consumer HDPE—the same material as old milk jugs and detergent bottles—which is cleaned, shredded, melted, and molded into dense, splinter-free boards. These boards never rot, crack, or flake, and they are impervious to moisture, chemicals, and UV rays. You can clean them with soapy water, and they will look nearly new for 20 years or more. They are also 100% recyclable at the end of their life, which closes the loop in a way that even sustainably harvested wood cannot.
