At our outdoor bench factory, durability begins with the right preservative. We use a copper-based micronized preservative system, specifically micronized copper azole (MCA). This water-based solution penetrates deep into the wood fibers, providing long-term protection against fungal decay, termite attack, and moisture damage. Unlike older pressure-treated methods that relied on chromated arsenicals, MCA is safer for both workers and the environment while maintaining exceptional performance. After the treatment process, each bench component is kiln-dried to below 19% moisture content, ensuring the preservative locks in evenly. We then apply a UV-resistant water-repellent topcoat infused with a low-VOC biocide. This dual-layer approach means our wood resists cracking, warping, and graying even under harsh outdoor weather. The result is a bench that stands strong for years in parks, gardens, and public spaces with minimal maintenance.
