At our factory, we understand that the worst enemies of an outdoor trash can are not the rubbish inside, but the relentless rain and blistering sun outside. That is why every can we ship leaves our production line with what we call a Climate Shield Warranty. This is not a generic promise; it is a detailed, written guarantee designed specifically for units that will live their entire lives in the open air.
For standard residential and commercial outdoor trash cans, we provide a 5-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. For our premium stainless steel and UV-stabilized polyethylene models, we extend that to 10 years. What exactly does the warranty cover? It covers rust-through on metal bodies, cracking or warping of plastic lids and bases, failure of the hinge or wheel assembly, and fading that makes the can structurally unsound. And yes, it explicitly includes damage caused by long-term exposure to rain, snow, humidity, and direct sunlight.
But let us be honest about what we do not cover. We do not cover damage from fire, vandalism, animal attacks, or misuse such as dragging the can behind a vehicle. We also do not cover normal cosmetic fading — a slight color change does not affect function, so that is not a warranty issue. If a lid becomes brittle and shatters after five summers of intense UV, that is covered. If the same lid simply looks a bit lighter, that is not.
The claims process is deliberately simple. You contact our support team with your serial number and a few photos. In most cases, we ship a replacement part within 3 business days. If the entire can is compromised, we ship a new unit to your doorstep at no cost, including freight. We do not require you to return the broken can unless we ask for it for our own failure analysis, and we rarely do. For factory-direct bulk orders, we also offer an optional extended warranty up to 15 years for a small fee per unit.
Our testing facility is notoriously harsh. We run every model through a simulated monsoon cycle and a 1,200-hour UV exposure test. If a prototype fails, it never reaches production. That is why we can confidently put this warranty in writing. When you buy from our trash can factory, you are not just buying a container — you are buying a guarantee that the sun and rain will not win. And if they ever do, your wallet will not feel a thing.
