The short answer is: yes, our planter box factory does use recycled materials for many of our plastic planter boxes, but we do not rely exclusively on recycled content. In specific product lines, we incorporate post-industrial recycled (PIR) and post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics. These materials are carefully sorted, cleaned, and processed to meet strict quality standards. Our recycled content ranges from 30% to 100% depending on the product and the intended application. For example, our heavy-duty commercial planters often feature a core made from 100% recycled resin, while the outer UV-stabilized layer uses virgin material to ensure color consistency and resistance to weathering. This co-molding technique gives us the best of both worlds: significant resource savings and a beautiful, durable finish.
However, for certain products—especially those that require intricate detailing, food-safe certifications, or extreme load-bearing capacity—we may use virgin resin exclusively or in high proportions. Virgin resin offers predictable melting points, consistent flow characteristics, and zero contamination risk, which can be critical for thin-wall molding or complex geometries. That said, even when virgin resin is used, we work with suppliers who follow sustainable practices, and we run closed-loop recycling systems within our factory to capture and reuse all production scrap.
We also believe in full transparency. Our datasheets and product labels clearly indicate whether a planter contains recycled material and what percentage of that material is reclaimed. We have been certified by independent bodies that audit our recycled content claims, so you can trust that “recycled” isn’t just a marketing term—it is a measurable, verifiable part of our manufacturing process.
From a performance standpoint, you won’t notice any difference between our recycled-content planters and those made entirely of virgin resin.
