By default, most large orders are shipped via freight carrier and arrive as curbside delivery. That means the driver parks the truck at the end of your driveway, on the street, or in your parking lot, and unloads the palletized benches using a liftgate. The goods are placed on the curb or just inside the gate, and then you are responsible for moving them to the final position. This is the most cost-effective method because it keeps the standard shipping fees lower and avoids extra labor costs.

However, for many residential customers, curbside-only delivery can feel inconvenient. A 10-foot concrete bench pallet is not exactly something you drag over a lawn by yourself. That is why our factory offers an optional inside delivery service for larger orders. With inside delivery, the freight driver uses a hand truck or dolly to bring each bench from the truck into your garage, covered patio, or ground-level room. Keep in mind that inside delivery typically means no stairs and no walking on fragile surfaces. The driver will get the item through a standard exterior door or gate but will not unbox, assemble, or move the bench up multiple levels. If your project requires full white-glove delivery — where a two-person team brings the benches to an exact spot in your garden, bolted them together if needed, and removes all packing waste — you need to request that in advance. White-glove service costs more but is ideal for a large order with heavy concrete or steel benches on a rooftop deck, poolside, or hillside landscape.

The type of truck also matters. For a big order, we schedule a full-size freight truck or a straight truck with a liftgate. If your delivery address has a low clearance, narrow driveway, or no room to turn around, you should ask us about using a smaller box truck or an alternative delivery method. In some cases, we can break your order into multiple shipping pallets, but that does not change the curbside versus inside issue. What really changes the answer is the access and the selected service level. Before production even begins, our logistics coordinator will reach out to you with a delivery questionnaire. We ask about the width of your entrance, the distance from the truck path to the installation area, and whether steps are involved. If you check “curbside only,” our truck driver will call you 30 minutes before arrival to confirm you have people ready to assist. If you choose inside delivery, we also verify whether the route from the curb to the door is firm and clear. For example, loose gravel or soft grass can block a dolly, so you might be asked to lay down plywood runways.

So, is it curbside delivery or do they bring it inside from our factory? The standard answer is curbside delivery by default. But for a big order where you want less hassle, we strongly recommend adding inside delivery or white-glove service. The shipping cost increases, of course, because extra labor and more insurance coverage are involved. Still, that fee is often worth it when you compare it with renting your own equipment and gathering four strong friends on a weekday.
