To anchor a bench from our outdoor bench factory to concrete while keeping the frame completely undamaged, you need to avoid direct drilling through the bench metal or wood. Instead, use surface-mount brackets or anchor plates that attach to the concrete first, then secure the bench to those brackets with bolts that pass through pre-existing holes or by using clamping mechanisms.

Start by positioning the bench exactly where you want it. Mark the concrete through the base plate holes of the mounting bracket, not through the bench frame. Use a hammer drill with a masonry bit to create pilot holes, then insert concrete expansion anchors such as wedge anchors or sleeve anchors. Tighten the anchors until the bracket is flush with the concrete. Place the bench onto the bracket so that its existing mounting holes align with the bracket slots. Fasten the bench using zinc-plated or stainless steel bolts with rubber washers between the frame and the bracket. The rubber washers act as a protective cushion, preventing scratches, galvanic corrosion, and stress points.

If your bench does not have pre-drilled holes on the underside, use a clamp-style bracket that grips the bench legs horizontally without any penetration. Once the bracket is set in concrete, position the clamp around the leg, hand-tighten the nylon-tipped screws, and the bench stays secure without contact damage. For models with hollow legs, you can insert a rubber-lined metal stop inside the leg and secure it with a non-marring set screw. This interior anchoring method eliminates any visible alteration to the frame.

Always check the bench for soft foot pads or powder-coated surfaces. Never let metal-to-metal contact occur between the anchor bracket and the coated frame without an isolation layer. Apply a thin strip of rubber or plastic tape on the bracket contact surfaces before installation. Whether you choose expansion anchors, clamp brackets, or interior stops, the key principle is to anchor the bracket to the concrete and then attach the bench to the bracket, not the bench directly to the concrete. This approach preserves the frame finish, maintains structural integrity, and makes removal or repositioning easy without leaving ugly holes in the bench furniture.
