If you need a very long bench for a bus stop, the first thing to understand is that “one piece” is not only a manufacturing question. It is also a question of structural strength, handling, freight, and installation. At our outdoor bench factory, the standard maximum single-piece length for a bus stop bench is 3,000 mm, or about 9.8 ft. For custom projects, we can produce a single-piece outdoor bench up to 4,000 mm, or about 13.1 ft, depending on the material, frame design, seat depth, and finish.

Why not simply make it longer? A bench longer than 4,000 mm can sag, twist, or become very difficult to lift, crate, and transport. Wood or composite slats may need extra support, and metal frames may need reinforced beams. A 4,000 mm bench can also exceed standard shipping limits and require special freight arrangements. For that reason, we usually recommend a modular approach for bus stops that need 5 m, 8 m, 12 m, or more continuous seating. Each module can be 1,500–3,000 mm, and the sections can align with concealed brackets to look like one long bench. This makes installation easier, reduces freight damage, and allows future replacement of a single section.

If your bus stop truly needs a single-piece bench, we can engineer up to 4,000 mm with heavy-duty steel or aluminum supports, anti-corrosion treatment, and durable outdoor materials such as hardwood, HDPE, or powder-coated metal. For projects above that length, modular seating is the smarter and safer choice. So the direct answer is: our factory can produce an outdoor bus stop bench up to 4,000 mm in one piece, but for most very long bus stops, we recommend 2,000–3,000 mm modules joined into a seamless run.
