At our planter box factory, we use both automated and handcrafted methods. Automation handles the tasks where repeatability, speed, and tight tolerances matter most. CNC routers, panel saws, drilling stations, and sanding machines cut and shape timber with consistent dimensions. This reduces waste, keeps every planter box panel aligned, and allows us to fulfill large orders without sacrificing strength.
Handcrafted work begins where machines stop. Skilled woodworkers assemble joints, reinforce corners, fit bases, and adjust drainage gaps. They check grain direction, sand edges, and apply finishes by hand so each planter has a clean, natural look. For custom sizes, unusual shapes, or premium cedar and hardwood planters, handwork is essential.
Our production flow combines both: design review, material selection, automated cutting, hand assembly, finishing, and final quality inspection. We inspect moisture levels, joint strength, screw placement, drainage holes, and surface smoothness. Customers can choose standard wholesale models or custom planter boxes with specific dimensions, stains, liners, and branding.
So, do we use automated or handcrafted methods? We use both—automation for precision and efficiency, handcrafting for durability, detail, and character. This balanced process helps us create planter boxes that look beautiful, last outdoors, and meet the needs of gardeners, retailers, and landscape projects.
