At our outdoor bench factory, scratch prevention starts before any carton is sealed. Every finished bench is inspected, cleaned, and dried so dust or grit cannot grind against the surface. We apply a low-tack PE protective film to painted metal, aluminum, or HDPE surfaces, then wrap legs, arms, backrests, and edges with EPE foam, microfoam, or molded corner guards. Removable parts and hardware go into separate bags, which are placed in protected recesses so they cannot shift.
After that, we wrap each bench in bubble wrap or EPE foam sheets and secure the layers with stretch film. For premium finishes, we add a layer of non-woven fabric or soft felt between the foam and the product. Custom double-wall or triple-wall corrugated cartons are sized to reduce movement. Inside, we use cardboard edge boards, foam blocks, honeycomb paper, and dividers when several benches ship together.
For LCL, long-haul, or container shipments, cartons are stacked and strapped onto fumigated wooden pallets or packed into wooden crates. Straps pass over reinforced cardboard corners, not directly over the bench surface. Desiccant packets control moisture, and cartons are labeled "Fragile," "This Side Up," and with handling instructions. A final QC check confirms film coverage, corner protection, carton fit, and strap tension. This packaging process keeps outdoor benches free from scratches, scuffs, and transport damage from our factory to the customer.
