When a customer reports that an outdoor bench does not fit, we treat it as a fit-resolution case, not an automatic return. The first step is to collect facts quickly: order number, model, approved drawing, packing list, installation photos, measured dimensions, and a short description of where the bench is supposed to go. Because many outdoor benches are large, heavy, and site-specific, a full return is not always the fastest or most cost-effective solution. Our goal is to identify the cause and choose the remedy that protects the customer’s project timeline.
We begin with a fit review. Our engineering and QC teams compare the customer’s field measurements against the approved specifications, production records, and pre-shipment inspection reports. Most fit problems fall into one of four groups: manufacturing tolerance or assembly error, shipping damage, customer measurement or site condition error, or installation misunderstanding. If the issue is a factory error—wrong length, incorrect hole spacing, missing hardware, or a frame that does not match the approved drawing—we take responsibility. We issue a replacement, a corrected remake, or a full return authorization, and we cover the return freight. For urgent projects, we can ship replacement parts first so the customer can keep the installation moving.
If the bench does not fit because the site dimensions, slope, or mounting surface differ from the approved drawing, we still help. We may offer an adapter bracket, shim kit, modified leg, replacement seat section, or a custom-cut component. In some cases, a local fabricator can make a small adjustment faster than returning a large bench. If the customer prefers to return the product, we provide an RMA number, packing instructions, and pickup guidance. Return freight and a restocking fee may apply when the order was made correctly and the fit issue is not due to our production. Custom or made-to-order benches generally cannot be returned for a simple change of mind, but we review every case individually and look for a practical solution.
For shipping damage, we ask for photos of the packaging, the damaged part, and the delivery receipt. We file the freight claim and send replacement components as quickly as possible. For assembly confusion, our technical team provides diagrams, videos, or a live call to correct the installation. Many “does not fit” complaints are solved this way without returning the entire bench.
Every return or replacement follows a clear timeline. We acknowledge the claim within one business day, request missing evidence if needed, and give a preliminary decision within three to five business days after all information is received. Replacement lead time depends on the item, but stock parts often ship within days. Refunds are processed after inspection or after the returned goods are received and checked. We keep the customer informed at each stage so there are no surprises.
To reduce fit-related returns in the first place, we use pre-production drawings, measurement checklists, and approval samples for custom outdoor benches. We also inspect critical dimensions, hole alignment, welding squareness, and hardware fit before packing. Customers receive installation guides and can request a pre-shipment video or photo report. When a fit issue does happen, our policy is simple: verify the facts, assign responsibility fairly, and choose the fastest remedy—replacement parts, modification, remake, or return—so the outdoor bench works in its intended space.
