Yes. Our planter box factory can manufacture a half-depth planter box for shallow-root herbs, using your standard model as the reference. We first confirm the exact depth of your current standard box, then build the new version at approximately 50% depth while keeping the same footprint, joinery style, and visual finish. For example, a 12-inch standard can become a 6-inch shallow herb planter; a 30 cm standard can become a 15 cm model. If the half-depth target is too shallow for the herb mix you plan to grow, our team will flag it and recommend a small adjustment rather than compromise plant health.
The shallow-depth design is well suited to herbs such as basil, cilantro, parsley, oregano, chives, and thyme. We can add drainage holes, a sloped or reinforced base, breathable liner, coconut coir mat, removable drip tray, and optional feet. For edible herbs, we use non-toxic finishes and advise a food-safe liner when required. Because a shallower box changes load and moisture behavior, we reinforce corners, bottom rails, and fasteners to prevent bowing or separation.
Production is flexible: send a drawing, sample, or target dimensions, and we will create a CAD layout and quote. We support custom lengths, widths, depths, wood species, composite boards, paint or stain colors, logos, and retail packaging. Sampling is available before bulk orders, and we can discuss MOQ, lead time, and shipping terms based on your market. Every half-depth herb planter is inspected for depth consistency, drainage, hardware security, and finish quality before packing.
Tell us your standard depth and the herbs you want to grow, and our team will confirm the best half-depth specification for your product line.
