The maximum width our outdoor bench factory can produce for a custom seating area depends on whether you need a single prefabricated bench or a modular assembled run. For most custom outdoor bench designs, our standard single-piece production maximum is 4,800 mm—about 15 ft 9 in—in overall width. This applies to many steel- or aluminum-framed benches with timber, composite, HPL, or metal seating surfaces, provided the final design passes our structural, load, and handling review.
That 4,800 mm figure is not simply a cutting limit. It reflects the practical balance between structural integrity, material span, reinforcement, finishing quality, packing, shipping, and site access. A very wide single-piece bench needs a stronger frame, carefully calculated support points, and a finish process that avoids distortion. It also must be transportable and movable into the final seating area without risking damage.
If your custom seating area needs to be wider than 4,800 mm, we use a modular bench system. We manufacture the seating in structural sections—typically 1,200 mm to 2,400 mm—and connect them with concealed stainless-steel joiners, alignment pins, and leveling feet. The assembled run can extend well beyond 20 m, or to project-specific limits, while keeping a clean, continuous visual line. This approach is often better for rooftops, courtyards, parks, transit areas, school campuses, and hospitality spaces where crane access or narrow entrances may restrict single-piece delivery.
For curved, L-shaped, U-shaped, or island seating, the maximum single-piece width may be lower because curvature and compound angles increase tooling and framing complexity. In these cases, we usually recommend modular construction with factory-set connection points to preserve alignment on site.
To confirm the true maximum width for your project, we review five points: the seating geometry, frame material, surface material, required load and fixing method, and delivery route. Once these are clear, our factory can recommend either a single-piece bench up to 4,800 mm or a modular layout with no fixed upper limit for the assembled seating run.
