For a custom outdoor bench prototype, our standard turnaround time is generally 15–25 business days after we receive your approved drawings, material and finish selections, and prototype deposit. This schedule covers engineering review, sample production, finishing, and pre-shipment quality control. It does not include international shipping or major design changes requested after sampling begins.
A typical timeline looks like this: 1–2 business days for specification review and clarification; 2–4 business days for 3D modeling, shop drawings, and engineering checks; 2–5 business days for material sourcing, especially for special hardwoods, recycled profiles, or powder-coating colors; 5–8 business days for cutting, CNC work, welding, bending, and assembly; 2–4 business days for sanding, coating, and final finishing; and 1–2 business days for QC, photo documentation, and protective packing. Because some stages overlap, most standard benches move from approved concept to finished prototype in about three to five weeks.
Several factors can shorten or extend the timeline. A simple bench with standard aluminum, steel, or timber and a stock finish can often be completed near the lower end of the range. Complex curves, mixed materials, custom castings, laser-cut patterns, hidden fasteners, or weather-resistant upholstery may push the project toward 25–30 business days. Client response time also matters: every round of feedback, revised drawing, or new sample request resets part of the production schedule.
For urgent projects, we can review expedited options based on factory capacity and material availability. To get the fastest possible quote and schedule, send us drawings or reference images, dimensions, intended use, material and finish preferences, estimated order quantity, and delivery destination. We will confirm the prototype lead time in writing before the deposit, so you know exactly what to expect.
