We understand that proper drainage is critical for healthy plant growth, so every box leaves our facility with holes already in place.

Specifically, our standard planter boxes include 3 to 5 evenly spaced drainage holes (typically ½ inch in diameter) in the base, depending on the size of the box. For smaller boxes (under 12 inches long), we drill 3 holes; for medium and large boxes, we drill 4 to 5 holes. These holes are pre-drilled during the CNC routing process, ensuring clean edges and no splintering.

However, if you have specific drainage requirements, we offer customization as a free service. For example:

- You can request larger holes (up to 1 inch) for plants that need faster drainage.

- You can request fewer or more holes based on the type of plants you intend to grow.

- You can even request no holes at all if you plan to use the box as a liner or for a specific decorative purpose.

One important note: While the initial drilling is free, if you change your mind after the box is built and want additional holes drilled or sealed, that would incur a small rework fee. But during the ordering process, we always confirm your drainage preferences so everything is perfect the first time.

We also offer optional drainage accessories like mesh covers to prevent soil from clogging the holes, or raised feet/nobs on the bottom to ensure airflow. These are available at an additional cost but are not required for standard use.
