Thanks for reaching out to our planter box factory. Yes, you can order a sample before placing a bulk order. For a standard sample, the cost usually ranges from USD 25 to USD 80 per piece, depending on size, material, finish, and whether you need custom branding. A small untreated pine or fir sample is often at the lower end. A larger cedar, composite, metal, or HDPE sample with custom stain, laser engraving, or custom packaging will be higher. The sample price covers materials, cutting, assembly, sanding, finishing, labor, and export handling. If your later bulk order meets our minimum order quantity, the sample fee is normally credited back to your invoice.
Shipping time depends on whether the sample is ready-made or customized. For a ready-to-ship sample, we can dispatch in 2–5 business days. For a customized sample, production takes about 5–10 business days after you confirm drawings, color, logo, and hardware. Once shipped, express delivery by DHL, FedEx, UPS, or TNT usually takes 3–7 business days to the US, Canada, UK, EU, Australia, and most Asia-Pacific cities. In total, most customers receive a custom planter box sample within 7–15 business days after payment and artwork approval. Remote areas or customs inspection can add a few days.
Shipping cost for one sample is typically USD 30–70 by express courier. The exact amount depends on weight, dimensions, destination, and whether the package is oversized. We can quote door-to-door delivery. If you have a courier account, we can also ship on your account. For multiple samples, combined shipping often lowers the average cost.
To give you an exact sample cost and shipping time, please send: dimensions, material preference such as wood, metal, HDPE, or composite, finish and color, logo or packaging needs, delivery address, and target quantity for the bulk order. We will reply with a sample quotation, lead time, courier options, and a photo or video before dispatch. Payment can be made by PayPal, credit card, T/T, or another agreed method. We also welcome third-party inspection or sample approval before mass production.
After you receive the sample, check the structure, surface finish, hardware, drainage, and packaging. If any adjustment is needed, our team can revise the sample or confirm the final specification for bulk production. Many buyers start with one sample, then move to a 100–500 piece trial order. Once the bulk order is confirmed, we can discuss production schedule, quality control, and sea or air freight. Send us your sample request today, and we will provide a clear quote within 24 hours on business days.
