If I order a bulk shipment of benches from your outdoor bench factory, how do they come packaged to prevent scratches?

2026-09-25 Visits: Abstract: Discover how our outdoor bench factory packages bulk shipments to prevent scratches with foam wrap, edge guards, separators, and secure pallets for safe delivery.

If you order a bulk shipment of benches from our outdoor bench factory, each bench is protected as an individual unit before it is consolidated into pallets or cartons. The exact method depends on the material, such as powder-coated steel, aluminum, HDPE, or wood, but the goal is always the same: prevent scratches, rub marks, edge chips, and moisture damage during stacking, trucking, and container loading.

First, we clean and inspect every bench after finishing. Any dust or grit is removed because trapped particles can act like sandpaper under wrapping. For powder-coated metal frames, we apply soft PE foam or bubble wrap around the frame and legs. We avoid using rough recycled paper directly against the finish. For wooden benches, slats and end grain receive a protective non-woven fabric or foam layer, especially on corners and high-contact areas.

Next, we add edge and corner protection. EPE foam corners, cardboard angle boards, or custom-molded foam blocks are placed on ends, armrests, backrests, and leg bottoms. These guards absorb impact and keep benches from rubbing against each other. If hardware or mounting bolts are included, they are packed in a separate sealed bag and placed in a small void area or attached to the pallet, never loose against the bench surface.

For bulk orders, benches are usually stacked on export-grade wooden pallets. We place a foam or cardboard separator between each layer and between adjacent benches. This creates a soft barrier and stops metal-to-metal or wood-to-wood contact. Depending on size and weight, benches may be packed horizontally or vertically in a custom carton. High-volume models can be nested with protective inserts, but only when the design allows it without pressure on painted or finished surfaces.

After stacking, the entire pallet is wrapped with stretch film. We use enough overlap to hold the load tightly, but not so much that trapped moisture becomes a problem. Corner boards are added vertically on the pallet edges, then PET or PP strapping secures the load to the pallet. For sea freight, we can add a moisture barrier liner, desiccant bags, and VCI film if the benches contain steel parts. We also label each pallet with handling marks such as This Side Up, Keep Dry, and Fragile.

During container loading, we use dunnage bags, wooden bracing, or ratchet straps to prevent pallets from shifting. A shifting load is one of the most common causes of scratches, so we calculate the loading plan before dispatch. If you order mixed models, we keep similar sizes together and separate them with foam sheets. This also makes unloading and inventory easier at your warehouse.

Finally, we take photos of the packaging before the container is sealed. You can review how the benches are wrapped, separated, and secured. If you have special requirements, such as retail-ready cartons, branded labels, extra foam thickness, or individual serial numbers, we can adjust the packaging line accordingly. For a bulk shipment from our outdoor bench factory, scratch prevention is not a single wrap; it is a layered system of surface protection, edge guards, separators, pallet security, and moisture control.
